i don't feel like blogging in detail about friday anymore. hmm. okayy let's see. our performance was our personal best.. must really thank God. i was so happy throughout the whole performance because i could see that everyone was really smiling and enjoying themselves, a huge contrast to the previous syf in which only a few people smiled. plus no one rushed, and the ending was PERFECT (X.
after our turn we watched the other schools. and after the last performance we went downstairs to kiliney kopitiam to grab a bite, thinking that we had plenty of time to spare before the results. we gave ourselves a window of 20 minutes, before going back inside and trooped up the stairs when all of a sudden the speaker blared out 'scgs- gold. [screams]'.
gasp! they were already announcing the results?!?!
we ran.
we were too late. then miss sim came out and said 'gold.'
GOLD!
screaming. jumping. smiling. hugging.
fast forward. i stepped into class. and was greeted with a hug from rachel. i think she squeezed the tears of joy out of me. hahah. so embarassing.
2 years ago, the syf batch was very very talented but only earned a silver, and the syf batch this year was not so talented, but a million times more hardworking and willing to put in the effort. yepp. so as i said, i'm really proud of every single person. and by God's grace we got a gold (:. no honours, but we got back the gold.
congrats to ensem too. another gold well deserved. well done rachel. well done ensem.
